The November 2002 meeting was THE meeting that we give away our
first really big raffle item. The Tool Shed and the Greenville Woodworkers
Guild went half-and-half on a brand new Delta 14-inch band saw with open stand.

Basic Woodworking Techniques
seminar:
A lot of woodworkers picked up a lot of useful information from
Bennett Farrell of the Thomas Chippendale School of Furniture. This
workshop was sponsored by the Guild on October 21, 2000, at the Golden Strip
Career Center.
Bennett covered a lot of topics, including different types of glues,
veneering, spindle turning, half-blind dovetails, carving a claw-and-ball leg,
finishing techniques, and sharpening.
The members had a chance to do the actual work, and not just watch. We
participated in every topic, including making a captured-ring baby rattle.
If you missed this, you missed a good 'un!
