Guild Initiation Fee to be Implemented Effective September 1, 2013
The GWG Board of Directors, at the March meeting, approved the implementation of a one- time initiation fee of $150 as a condition for joining the Guild effective September 1, 2013. The fee will only apply to new members joining after that date. However, if current members allow their membership to lapse more than three months after their renewal date, they will be subject to the initiation fee upon re-establishing membership. The funds generated with the implementation of the initiation fee will be exclusively applied to the building fund to be used for Education Center improvement. The initiation fee will represent an investment in the Guild as many current members have already done so. The long term goal is a more committed membership and reduction in the rate of turn-over in membership. A more committed membership will strengthen the Guild for the future.
The Revised membership application can be found here.
